Cart abandonment

Marigold Site introduces with the Cart abandonment feature the possibility to follow up on contacts that have or haven't abandoned their cart within a given time frame or that have completed their cart.

An abandoned cart happens when the contact has not touched (added or removed items) his cart for a certain time.

CRM identified contacts can be sent an email or contacted through other offline and online channels to remind them there are still items in their cart or to thank or reward them for their purchase. Engage journeys are used for this purpose. A specific type of Journey is required: the Abandon/Checkout cart'.

Moreover, by creating segments of contacts based on their cart details you can easily include these contacts (identified and non-identified) in dedicated offers.

Examples:

  • Show a light box 'x euro left to purchase to get free shipping' (for active carts)
  • Offer a gift for carts with  more than 1000$ worth of products in it  (for successful checkouts)
  • Show offer after first purchase
  • Offer a related product based on a specific product being in the cart
  • Offer a discount if no changes were made to the cart in the last day
