Journeys

Journeys is the environment to define interactive multi-channel communication scenarios. It is a graphical environment where communication strategies are defined and planned. Strategies come to life in scenarios and can range from broadcasting to advanced email conversations based on timing information, contact profile attributes and response behavior.

Journeys can be stand-alone (e.g., newsletters) but can also be part of a bigger story or campaign, built from several journeys linked with one another.

With a simple drag and drop, communication scenarios can be composed in no time. The tool allows organizing communication process in consecutive stages, resulting in automated conversations. This implies an interactive bidirectional communication approach that results in profound relations with contacts. A graphical canvas gives an overview of how contacts run through the communication blueprint.

A journey is built from components and triggers. Components represent a specific action to be taken (e.g., email sent, database update, deduplicate records, etc) for the contact running through the path. Triggers are events that push the contact to the next component (email viewed, feedback given, a specific value in the database etc).

Below is an example of a stand alone birthday campaign where everyone who has their birthday today will receive a message through the channel indicated in their preferences.
